For a long time, I believed I needed to become a different version of myself before I could live the life I wanted.
More confident.
More organised.
More certain.
More capable.
I was always searching for the next thing that would help me finally feel ready.
A new course.
A new book.
A new way of thinking.
I kept believing that if I learnt just one more thing, everything else would fall into place.
But instead, I found myself feeling like I was always behind.
Motherhood Changed Everything
When I became a mum, life didn't unfold the way I had imagined.
I developed severe preeclampsia.
My daughter arrived early and spent time in the NICU.
A week after my caesarean, I needed another surgery.
It was one of the hardest seasons of my life.
Suddenly, all the ideas I had about having control, doing everything "right" and preparing for every possibility disappeared.
Life reminded me that some things simply aren't within our control.
Learning to Let Go
For a while, I stopped trying to find answers.
I stopped trying to explain everything.
I stopped trying to become a better version of myself every single day.
Instead, I focused on getting through one day at a time.
Slowly, I realised I didn't actually need to become someone else.
I needed to trust the person I already was.
Building a Life That Feels Like Yours
That shift changed more than my personal life.
It changed the way I approach business too.
I no longer chase perfection before I begin.
I no longer believe I need to know everything before I can take the next step.
I build slowly.
I keep things simple.
I make decisions that align with the life I want to create for my family, not the life I think I'm supposed to have.
What I Believe Now
I still believe in learning.
I still believe in growing.
But I don't believe we have to spend our lives trying to become someone different.
You don't have to earn your place by knowing more.
You don't have to have every answer before you begin.
You don't have to wait until you feel completely ready.
Sometimes the most meaningful growth doesn't come from becoming someone new.
It comes from learning to trust yourself enough to take the next step.
